An entirely new farm, or a revival?

This OS First Series map dating to 1811 depicts a rather chaotic Ashington and Draycott, with Draycott notably in a rather different position to its recognised location today (also notice the lack of a second 't').

The area had three main farms; Draycott Farm, 'Manor Farm' and Middle Farm. Middle Farm and 'Manor Farm' can be seen to the top right of the image (Manor Farm was attached to Ashington Manor, not on its current site), but there is no sign of Draycott Farm in the location it occupies today.

There is, however, a farmstead to the South of the now 'Draycott Cottages', that likely went by the name of 'Draycot Farm'. If you were to overlay this map onto modern satellite imaging (not shown for copyright), the proximity of this farm setup to the new Manor Farm is striking.

So, today's Manor Farm uses a name that has been around for centuries, and occupies a plot of land used by a farm in 1811 - perhaps this is a revival after all.
